What is the range of the bending radius?
The bending radius varies depending on the type of cable and the working voltage. Please refer to Table 1.Download
What is the operating temperature range (for movable method)?
The operating temperature range (in motion) varies depending on the type of cabtyre cable as shown below.
1) PNCT
EP rubber insulated chloroprene rubber sheathed cabtyre cable: -10℃~75℃
EP rubber insulated cold-resistant chloroprene rubber sheathed cabtyre cable: -20℃~75℃
2) KKCT
Silicon insulated silicon sheathed cabtyre cable: -40℃~180℃
What is the permissible lateral pressure?
4900N in the case of PNCT.
Arethe cables flame retardant? Or are there any highly flame resistant types?
The flame retardant performance of our cables satisfy the standards of the JIS C 3005 Inclined Combustion Test. We also have highly flame resistant types (FD) that satisfy the flame retardant standards of the IEEE Std.383 Vertical Tray Combustion Test which are more stringent than that of the Inclined Combustion Test.
How does one decide whether the usage of a cable is appropriate for an operating environment?

What is the service life of cabtyre cables?
The service life of a product varies depending on the conditions and environment in which it is used. A sample of the results of Service Life Evaluation Tests is shown in diagrams 1-6.

What rotation rates/how many cores do SC-BOX have?
The combinations of rotation rates and number of cores are as shown below. One can tell which type of combination a SC-BOX has from the model number.
What is the service life of SC-BOX?
Rotation tests have been conducted with repetitions of 20 X 104 cycles (20 rotations forward and reverse/cycle) and it has been confirmed that there are no problems involving mechanical degradation of optical tape fiber and stability of transmission prope

What is the oil resistance of TRACAB?
Our products meet the oil resistance criteria stipulated in JIS C 3327.
What is the normal permissible tensile strength [N]?
If only copper conductors are used, it is 1 X (number of cores) X (nominal cross sectional area mm2) X 9.8 [N]. If a product includes steel conductors such as TC-RH and TC-FH, it is 2 X (number of cores) X (nominal cross sectional area mm2) X 9.8 [N].
What is the difference between Class 2 and Class 3?
The difference lies in the insulation and the sheath thickness. In addition, Class 3 has a double sheath structure with a reinforcement layer in the middle. It is designed to withstand damage on the exterior (shock resistance, abrasion resistance).

What is the difference between TC-RH-L and TC-RH-LR?
Both are used in vertical reels method.
"RH-L" is used to refer to cables with 12 cores or less that are arranged in a single layer. "RH-LR" is used to refer to cables with 13 cores or more arranged in a twisting block structure.
